Spring 2010

Dear Teachers and Friends,

Is there anyone who is not been enjoying this beautiful spring like weather? It’s so tempting to want to get a jump on spring. Farmer Ben has been busy pruning the apple trees and I have been busy pulling weeds, its so nice to have pleasant days to work outside. I hope the sunny days have gotten you planning ahead for Spring activities.  I know for me its time to start planning for Spring Planting, so let me begin by inviting you to bring your classroom to The Farm in May/June. This field trip is an opportunity for children to experience the cycle of life as it begins with seed planting (Natures order).  Spring Planting’s educational program is geared toward primary aged children.  While here your students will participate in a variety of farm related activities (listed below). Our rotating station format and friendly helpful guides make your experience organized and worry free. Call or email today and reserve a time.

Thanks, Farmer Ben and Carol
